Dear Shooters,
According to our rules we are planning to organize all official MLAIC events during the championships where we have enough attendants.
As a speciality we will also hold the Gettysburg event, so prepare for a great day in uniform, and some 100 m offhand shooting with military muzzle loading rifles.
We are happy to announce that during the 18th MLAIC European Championships we offer a wide range of interesting non MLAIC shooting matches to participate.
All of these matches are based on existing MLAIC rules.
Trapper – Individual
A) Firearm: Iron sight percussion or flintlock rifle or musket
B) Sights: Original pattern sights. Iron sights. No aperture sight allowed.
C) Target: MLAIC C50 metres pistol target
D) Position: Standing
E) Distance: 50 metres
F) Bullet: Round ball only
G) Cleaning: Permitted
H) Funnel: Permitted
I) Clothing: no modern shooting jackets allowed
Berdan – Individual
A) Firearm: Percussion breech loading rifle
B) Sights: Original pattern sights, aperture sights are allowed
C) Target: MLAIC C50 metres pistol target
D) Position: Standing
E) Distance: 50 metres
F) Bullet: Original style bullets
G) Cleaning: Permitted
H) Funnel: Permitted
I) Clothing: no restrictions
Paterson – Individual
A) Pistol: Open top percussion revolvers
B) Sights: Contemporary sights. Height of fore-sight unlimited but profile shall be of original style
C) Target: MLAIC C50 metre pistol target
D) Position: Standing
E) Distance: 25 metres
F) Bullet: Round ball or picket bullet
Frontiersmen – Team Trapper
