The Whitworth rifle with hexagonal rifling and mechanically fitting long bullet was invented by Sir Joseph Whitworth in the 1850s-60s. The only repro of this rifle ever made was manufactured by Parker Hale (later took over by Euroarms) but since Euroarms finished making blackpowder arms they disappeared. We are happy to see that such a noble small bore long range target rifle will hit the market again. Pedersoli just started the production of this legendary weapon. The price is predicted to be around 1000 Euro, but this is something to clarify later. Calibre: .451, twist rate: 1:20″. We believe this will be a good rifle for Whitworth competition (100 m prone free rifle). Check back for more info.
